Be WELL for the Equinox

An equinox is when the plane of the Earth's equator passes through the geometric center of the sun's disk. There is equal night and equal day.

We welcome this news of a change of seasons. We also welcome the news of one of our design team members, Lindsay Stefans, on becoming a WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP). Circadian lighting, visual comfort, daylighting fenestration, electric light glare control, solar glare control, color quality, circadian emulation and daylight modeling are all features of the LIGHT concept of the WELL Building Standard. These are all meant to minimize disruption to the body's sleep-wake cycle, enhance productivity and provide visual acuity. In short, we are looking deeper and practicing more intently in our lighting design services on how we can use light in the built environment to better our experience mentally and physically.
