Built in 1912, Los Angeles Athletic Club (LAAC) boasts beautiful Beaux Arts architecture. Francis Krahe and Associates, along with Levin & Associates Architects, worked to renovate the exterior of the historic LA building while keeping the historic character intact.

Francis Krahe & Associates provided the complete interior and exterior lighting design for the major transformation of this historic landmark by architects Foster + Partners in collaboration with Gruen Associates.

Luxury European fitness club John Reed redefines the gym experience with live DJ’s, luxurious interior décor, and choreographed lighting. Light defines the architecture and atmosphere within this renovation of an existing 33,000 sf underground parking structure, with no direct daylight.

A skincare flagship retail boutique and spa, the Dr. Barbara Sturm store sets out to create a unique retail experience that evokes tranquility with a touch of science lab. At just 1,989 sqft, the project represents a masterful solution that accentuates the architectural space, showcases retail products, and provides customers flattering illumination. Diffused soft lighting is key to this project.
